12.15.2004 5:59 PM \| Link	I've had this DVD rented for a long time, since my parents enjoyed this movie so much last year, but I didn't get around to watching it until recently. I'm glad I waited, because this is kind of a Christmas movie, with all the events taking place the week before Christmas! The plot is a collection of about ten stories of folks in London, all slightly connected (brothers and sisters, work mates, and so on) but each one stands alone. I absolutely loved it, because the whole movie truly celebrates love - not just the perfect fairy tale, but even the rejected, the forbidden, and unexpected love. There are stories about losing love through death, falling in love with a best friend's spouse, having the courage to express love, and finding love even when it's "inconvenient". There are plenty of funny moments, and the pacing is so good that by the time all of the stories were coming to their simultaneous conclusion, I was on the edge of my seat! What I enjoyed so much was that no matter how each story ended, love was there, and it was good, and people were transformed. It's a wonderful film with a wonderful message! Labels: dvds
