I've been doing lots of Christmas eating (which means lots of New Years dieting), and cookies are a big part of the goodies. Over the years, Mom has standardized on a set of must-eat cookies for each holiday season! See if your family bakes any of these:
Butterballs: Little balls of dough coated in powdered sugar, small enough that you can eat a few every time you walk into the kitchen!
Blossoms: Peanut butter cookies with a Hershey's Kiss in the middle - I always eat around the kiss to save it for last.
Cut-outs: The usual cookie-cutter shapes (bells, stars, Santas, bears, and trees) with icing and sprinkles - Mom uses red and green icing.
Pecan tarts: Tiny little pecan pies with little crusts, filling, and a pecan on top - it's like eating a whole pie in one bite!Labels: family, holidays
