10:29 AM | Link | The villa has huge windows, so the sun wakes me up at 5:15 AM - I had no idea the sun came up so early in Japan this time of year! Jonathan and I clean up the kitchen and all of us make the long walk back to city hall, taking a different route down the hill this time. The scenery is just fantastic, and it's an enjoyable walk. We catch the bus to the train station, buy our shinkansen tickets to Tokyo, and have oyakudon for lunch. The train ride to Tokyo is long, but so relaxing, and we have a few snacks during the journey. We arrive in Tokyo at 3:30, which gives us plenty of time to have some big city fun before to head to the Tokyo Disneyland Resort. So, we put our luggage in a locker and hit the pavement. |
