Lotsa luck

My pal Tom (soon joining the Peace Corps in Uzbekistan) just came over and brought me some black-eyed peas to eat for good luck in 2003 (which should make my Mom really happy)! They were prepared in a cold salad with tomato, onion, and cilantro, and believe it or not, I liked it. What a shock! Tonight I'm going to have another "good luck" dinner with Jonathan, Lisa, and Ernesto - I should have tons of luck this year.
