 Now that Kylie is becoming more popular, they are starting to release some of her older material in the US. Hits + is a collection of Kylie's hits from the past few years, and I decided to check it out since I'm really excited about her newer work. Even though it's a fine album, it was a little disappointing for me - I was hoping for more retro disco with catchy hooks and attitude-filled lyrics, but instead it's mostly just pretty good pop. There are definitely some excellent tunes here, but I don't think I'll be exploring much more of Kylie's older stuff if these are the hits! I think Light Years has completely spoiled me.Labels: books |
