 For his fifth film, Bruce Brown decided to edit together a "greatest hits" flick (so he could take another year to finish the classic Endless Summer). Having already watched the source material recently, this was basically a bunch of repeats for me. Still, Bruce does a nice job of putting together the best parts (and some of the corniest parts) into a fairly cohesive narrative. It's even more fun watching 60's surfing styles after watching modern surfing competitions on ESPN - it's amazing how the sport has evolved so quickly.Labels: dvds |
