 I started to add Jay McInerney to my "read everything" list after I read Bright Lights, Big City by hopping to that book from a mention on a Bret Easton Ellis work, but for some reason I never got around to buying more. I noticed an excellent review of Model Behavior, so that finally got me going. What a fantastic book! The characters are lovable and depraved, and the way the book is structured as "micro-chapters" makes it read so quickly. There are laugh-out-loud segments as well as truly sad moments, all surrounded by fantastic 90s pop culture. Looks like I'll have to read more by good ol' Jay.Labels: books |
